Dianne Shullenberger and Eve Jacobs-Carnahan both received grants from the Frog Hollow Artisan Grant program.Dianne was granted funds for travel expenses and materials for her upcoming residency at Spring Island, SC.
Eve received funding for the purchase of consumable craft supplies for making more stable armatures for her knitted sculptures. She notes, "I really appreciate Frog Hollow's creation of this new grant program supporting visual arts. The grant will allow me to create new work using new techniques and materials. It is wonderful to receive support for such experimentation."
Education
Joan Morris will be offering a class in Stitched-Resist Dyeing with Plant Dye Extracts this summer in her teaching studio at the Barn in Norwich, VT.The classes are limited to 8 students, which contributes to the feeling of spaciousness in the teaching studio. Delicious lunches are served each day. On the first evening of class we'll have a special dinner at the Barn to initialize the class, and one evening during the week there will be an hors d'oeuvres reception and slide show. There are still several spaces left.Stitched-Resist Dyeing with Plant Dye Extracts
